If you made it to the Academic Awards Assembly last week at the school you were in for treat! Many amazing accomplishments of our students at North Park Schools were celebrated. We also had an outstanding meal prepared by our food service staff, led by Cary Ramsey. People are still talking about the mouthwatering meal we indulged in. If you missed it, you lost out on a truly incredible roast beef dinner that was donated by the Castle Peak Ranch right here in North Park.
Everyone that has a connection to North Park knows the importance of beef in our economy and culture. There's an even larger scale connection some may remember if you were raised in the era of "The Beef People." Winn Dixie grocery store chain was famous for this tag line through the 70's and into the 80's. They even toted large ribeye steaks on their billboards and proudly displayed the tag line on the front of their stores. Winn Dixie loved North Park and I can remember
Today we share another great recipe from the North Park Cow Belles archives circa 1977. The local Cowbells are now organized as the North Park Cattle Women and host many great local programs. They continue to hold a Beef Cookoff and give scholarships annually. #MarchifBEEFmonth #NorthParkCowbelles #BeefItsWhatsForDinner
Sharing a little throwback from the Cow Bell Cookbooks on Thursdays in March. Here's one circa 1983 from the Beef Cook Off held at North Park High. Do you recognize these Alumni? #NorthParkCattlewomen #NorthParkBeef #BeefItsWhatsForDinner
