Rodeo Dedicated To Jack Lewis
Jack Lewis was born and raised near Boulder, Colorado where his agriculture background began. He became tired of milking cows and found a listing in the Record Stockman for HELP WANTED in North Park on Bob Richards ranch. The mountains were calling and Jack was ready to go. Jack loaded up his wife Judy and headed West. North Park is where Jack and his bride found their passion for life in ranching. As Jack would say, “We moved to North Park and the rest is history.”

The story Phil Anderson told at the Annual Stockgrowers Banquet was too perfect to edit so I s

Proud To Call North Park Home
My involvement in ranching started when I was 2 1/2 months old. I was riding in a car seat in the front of my parents 67 Ford F-250. My parents took me everywhere they went on the ranch. I started riding horses with my parents at the age of 1 1/2 by riding in front of one of my parents in their saddle. By the age of six I was riding by myself helping gather,

A Tough 100 Years And Then Some
One of the best collections written about ranching in the North Park area comes from late author, Oley Kohlman. Kohlman was an amazing gentleman who penned several books about the pioneer history of ranching in North Park, some fictional and some not. He is well known for his comic relief that graced the Jackson County Star as well in his "Whiff of Sage" column series. His historical recount of the history of the North Park Stockgrowers Association was a labor of love to O
