North Park Coaching Sticks With You For Life
Growing up in Walden and being Wildcat was awesome. We always told our girls that it was a special place to be a child and teenager, learning to become the adults we are today. Looking back, especially at our community, everyone was like family and watched out for each other. As kids, we couldn't get away with anything. If you did something out of line your parents knew what we had done before we got back home that same day. That's probably why as we got older and started pl

Close To Home
Just in case anyone reading this doesn’t know who I am, I grew up in the wonderful little town of Walden. I’m the son of Jack and Michelle and brother to T.J. I had the privilege to spend 19 years of my life here till I graduated and shipped off to join the U.S Army in 2013. Anyone who’s spent more than a few days in Walden can tell you just how unique of a place it really is. I was always pretty blessed in every aspect of my life. I had wonderful parents, grandparents, frien

The Heart Of A Wildcat
This week we honor an incredible lady that has dedicated the last 28 years of her life to the North Park School District. As the ultimate cheerleader of the blue and gold, today reaches the retirement celebration of school manager Nancy Benson. Nancy has spent her career supporting young people in academics and athletic accomplishments. She's been our caretaker at school and been our biggest cheerleader. No one’s blood runs in the blue and gold deeper than that of this Mama

Designed For Success
Born and raised in a tiny Colorado mountain town 100 miles from Fort Collins, Carly Mansker, a senior interior design student in the Department of Design and Merchandising, has come a long way on her journey toward graduation. Mansker transferred schools and changed her major several times, as she struggled to find the right balance between her academic interests.
After graduating from high school with a class of 11 students, Mansker began her collegiate journey pursuing a

We Called Him The Beast
What a difference two years can make. Somethings have not changed though about a young man that grew up here, graduating at the top of his class and who now is the first in his family to attend college. Proud is truly an understatement of this young mans accomplishments and abilities. We caught up with former NPHS student, Adrian Cereceres and he shared with us where life has taken him and his appreciation for the community he grew up in. Adrian was involved in football,

Heater Seat Kid
When I was approached about sharing something with the tagline "Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat", my mind immediately went to bus rides. Growing up 14-20 miles out of town (depending on how "country" I want people to believe I am), my earliest memories of school involved getting on a bus. Some of my earliest detentions at school were because of stupid stuff involving a bus. If I had ever been suspended from school, I can say with crystal clarity that it would have involved a

Just What The Doctor Ordered
Ranching is the lifestyle I know and love. I was raised in North Park on a ranch my entire life, and I am extremely excited to raise our kids the same way. My husband Mike and I are able to lease my parents’ ranch where we run our cattle and raise our kids. I graduated from North Park School, where our three kids Alex, Tristan and Aubrey have attended. Ranching has taught me valuable lessons that I can pass on to our kids including discipline, hard work, caring for others,

Proud To Call North Park Home
My involvement in ranching started when I was 2 1/2 months old. I was riding in a car seat in the front of my parents 67 Ford F-250. My parents took me everywhere they went on the ranch. In May of 1989 at the age of 8 months old we moved to North Park and they worked for Dave Meyring at the Spicer Ranch. I started riding horses with my parents at the age of 1 1/2 by riding in front of one of my parents in their saddle. By the age of six I was riding by myself helping gather,

A Wildcats Blood Runs Blue & Gold
Growing up in a small town, 30 years ago, I dreamed of being a Wildcat and wearing the Blue & Gold. My friends and I had a life that revolved around sports. We played when coaches weren’t watching; we dreamed when we were alone. We did well in school to play the game we loved… to be a part of the team. My fondest memories came from the time on the field or the court. Wearing that game day jersey on Friday gave me a sense of pride… a feeling of belonging. To look at my teammat

I Hope Walden Never Gets A Stop Light
I grew up in a place that was sixty miles from the nearest stop light. Forget about chain grocery store or fast food restaurants. The only franchises we had in the area were gas stations. Conoco. Standard. We had cafes that featured big red, semi-translucent cups, greasy burgers, and due to the cost of shipping produce into the area, our idea of salad was the piece of lettuce that clung to the cheese of a cheeseburger deluxe. Waitresses that called you “Hon.” Police officers
