Fishing/Conditions Report Lake John/Delaney Butte/Cowdrey Lakes 14, November, 2018 Well the ice happened over night! Our temperatures dropped drastically, and we had a calm evening without wind. We went from completely open water on Monday to a full thin layer of ice Tuesday morning and as of today, November 14, 2018, Lake John has 1.5” of ice at the north boat ramp and 2” of ice heading toward the south end. Memorial Day Weekend was wonderful, and we got a lot of fish pictures as it was active and is continuing to be active. At Lake John we are seeing a lot of 14-16” fish with great girth and good 18-21” fish mixed in there. Good afternoon! This past week’s warmer weather has really taken a toll on the ice depth here at Lake John and it has left us with much more open water at the north end and west edges. There were a few fishermen that found safe ice for fishing Lake John down off the south east side, there are now several areas around the lake that are inaccessible.
